The Aetherwyn Project

Meet the Characters

Briar
Once a prisoner, now a rebel, Briar has spent years fighting to reclaim the freedom stolen from her. Armed with twin blades, a sharp tongue, and a dangerous magic she barely understands, she has learned that survival comes at a cost. But some secrets are buried for a reason, and hers could unravel everything.
Veyra Rose
With centuries of experience and a will as unyielding as steel, Veyra is a force few dare to challenge. Fiercely independent, sharp-witted, and unwavering in her loyalty, she has little patience for fools and even less for those who mistake her composure for weakness. Beneath her formidable exterior lies a heart that has endured more than she cares to reveal, and secrets she guards just as fiercely as those she loves.
Jex Soren
Kaelen
Young by fae standards but no stranger to the dangers of a divided world, Kaelen has more courage than caution and a stubborn determination to prove himself. Quick-witted, fiercely loyal, and often guided by his heart rather than his better judgment, he refuses to let his youth define his worth. In a world shaped by ancient grudges and endless wars, he may have more to offer than anyone expects.
A rebel with a sharp tongue and an even sharper blade, Jex has spent years fighting a kingdom that would sooner see him dead than free. Fiercely loyal and dangerously reckless, he hides a lifetime of scars behind crooked smiles and ill-timed jokes. But beneath his easy charm lies a man who would sacrifice everything for the family he chose.
Thayne Ignis
Forged in fire and hardened by centuries of war, Thayne is a warrior whose name commands both respect and fear. Bound by duty, haunted by the ghosts of his past, and fiercely protective of those he calls his own, he has long believed that some battles are better fought alone. But even the fiercest flames cannot withstand everything fate has planned.
Taryn
Armed with a wicked grin, a silver tongue, and a talent for finding trouble, Taryn has never been one to take life too seriously. Beneath his effortless charm, however, lies a keen mind and a dangerous understanding of magic. Loyal to a fault and far more observant than he lets on, Taryn knows that some secrets are worth keeping, even when the truth threatens to unravel everything.

Gods of Aetherwyn
Five divine beings. One world bound by their power.
Before Aetherwyn knew the rule of kings, before its lands were divided by borders and bloodshed, there were five.
Their power runs through the very foundations of the realm, shaping its lands, its magic, and the lives of those who call it home. Worshipped by some, feared by others, their names have endured through centuries of devotion, conflict, and whispered legend.
But divinity has never meant perfection.
The gods have loved, fought, betrayed, and sacrificed. Their histories are as tangled as the world they helped create, and the consequences of their choices linger long after the stories themselves have faded.
For even gods must answer for what they have done.
Naelyra
Keeper of the waters and guardian of the wounded, Naelyra embodies the delicate balance between mercy and power. Her magic flows through rivers, oceans, and the healing hands of those blessed with her gifts. Revered for her compassion and feared for the depths of her wrath, she is a reminder that the same waters that give life can just as easily take it away.
Ignivar
Born of flame and forged in conflict, Ignivar embodies the relentless power of fire and the unforgiving nature of war. His influence is felt upon every battlefield, where courage and destruction walk hand in hand. Revered for his strength and feared for his wrath, Ignivar is a reminder that fire does not distinguish between those it protects and those it consumes.
Sylphira
Ruler of the frozen winds and keeper of winter's embrace, Sylphira commands the beauty and brutality of ice and storm. Her power dances upon snow-covered peaks and howls through the coldest nights, as breathtaking as it is unforgiving. Revered for her grace and feared for her fury, she is a reminder that even the most beautiful things can be deadly.
Lorynthar
Keeper of the earth and guardian of all that returns to it, Lorynthar commands the ancient forces of stone, soil, and decay. His power lies in the slow passage of time, where mountains crumble, kingdoms fall, and all living things eventually return to the ground beneath them. Neither cruel nor merciful, he embodies an eternal truth. Even the mightiest creations must one day become dust.
Nyros
Keeper of the shadows and master of the unseen, Nyros commands the darkness that exists wherever light cannot reach. His power moves through the quiet of night, the depths of shadow, and the spaces where even the brightest flames cannot shine. Neither inherently wicked nor benevolent, he embodies the mystery of darkness, a force as ancient and necessary as light itself.

July 2025
Work officially began writing The Aetherwyn Project, bringing to life a world of ancient gods, dangerous magic, and divided kingdoms. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into a story I couldn't wait to tell.
